Volt Works Let's talk
Taking on new clients in the UK & Canada

Get found. Get called. Get booked.

A site nobody finds, and a phone nobody answers while you're up a ladder, doesn't bring in a single job. We run the whole chain — search, phone, follow-up — so there's nobody to blame but us. The website is included in that, not sold separately.

See what's included

Three vendors. Three seams.

Why "we do it all" is more than a sales line
The usual setup

One firm builds the site. Another does the SEO. The phone is nobody's job at all.

The SEO firm ranks him. His site has no click-to-call, so the mobile traffic bounces. Or the ranking works, the phone rings, he's on a job, nobody answers — and most people who reach voicemail never call back.

Every vendor did their job. He still got nothing. Nobody owns the join, so when it fails they all point at each other and the invoices keep coming.

We own it end to end: the site, the listings that get you found, the system that catches the calls you miss, and the follow-up that turns a quote into a job. One number to ring when something's wrong.

Selected work

Three live demos — open and click through any of them

These are concept demos built to show layout and craft, so the business names and figures on them are invented. Open one and hit “Put your name on this” to see it with yours. Client work stays private unless the client asks us to show it.

Everything the front desk does.

Four jobs — found, called, followed up, kept honest

01 / Getting found

Being on page four is the same as not existing. This is the part that decides whether the phone rings at all.

The website itself

Hand-built, no page builder, no plugin sprawl. Loads in about a second on mobile data, which is where nearly every customer sees it. Hosting and unlimited edits included.

Local SEO

Service pages and town pages for the places you actually cover, built around what people in your trade genuinely type into Google.

Google Business Profile

Claimed, filled in properly, categories right, photos current, posts going out. For most local searches this outranks the website itself.

AI search presence

Unglamorous admin nobody else is doing: Foursquare, Bing Places, Apple Business and Yelp claimed, name/address/phone consistent everywhere, and AI crawlers not accidentally blocked at your firewall. All of it checkable.

Extra location pages

Add a town as your radius grows. Priced as a unit, so you always know what a new patch costs before you say yes.

Local Services Ads

Google-Guaranteed setup and management, if you want paid volume on top of the free listings. Optional, and we'll tell you when it isn't worth it.

02 / Getting called

The most expensive part of the day is the call that comes in while you're on a roof. This is the part most competitors don't touch.

Missed-call text-back

A missed call fires an instant text in your name, so the caller has an answer in seconds instead of ringing the next number on the list.

AI voice receptionist

Picks up 24/7 in your voice. Handles hours, pricing, directions and availability, takes the job details, books it, and hands straight to you the second a human is needed. You approve the script before it goes near a customer.

Click-to-call that works

Sticky call bar on mobile, tap-to-ring, tap-for-directions. Sounds obvious. Most sites we're sent don't have it.

Online booking

Two taps to book. Syncs with Square, Vagaro, Mindbody and Google Calendar, or use ours. Reschedules pass through without a phone call.

Storm mode

For weather-driven trades: switch the call-catching on for the busy months and off again after. Seasonal, because your demand is.

Reminders

Automatic confirmation and reminder texts before the appointment, so fewer people forget you're coming.

03 / Getting booked

Most trades send a quote and go silent. The job usually goes to whoever followed up, not whoever was cheapest.

Quote follow-up sequences

Every quote gets chased on a schedule by text and email, in your tone, until they answer either way. This is the single most under-served thing in the trade.

Speed-to-lead

Web enquiries get a reply in seconds, not that evening. Whoever answers first usually wins the job.

Review engine

Asks every finished customer at the right moment, routes the happy ones to Google. Reviews feed rankings, rankings feed calls.

QR van stickers & NFC cards

Physical kit that feeds the review engine. A sticker on the van and a tap card in the cab beat a link nobody clicks.

No-show recovery

Cancellations and no-shows get chased and re-offered instead of quietly becoming a dead slot.

Content & social

Regular posts on the site and your profiles, using your real job photos. Optional, and honestly not where we'd start.

04 / Knowing it's working

Three quarters of business owners who fire an agency do it over reporting. Impressions are not results.

Calls and enquiries, not impressions

The report says how many people rang, how many enquired, and where they came from. Not "visibility score up 38%."

Plain-English dashboard

What came in this week, who's booked tomorrow, which hours are dead. Answers, not charts you have to squint at.

Call recordings and transcripts

Every call the AI takes is logged and readable, so you can check what was said and correct the script.

KPIs agreed on day one

We write down what success looks like before we start, then measure that. It's the difference between a client who renews and one who feels sold to.

30 / 60 / 90-day check-ins

Booked in advance, not "give us a shout if you need anything." The first ninety days decide whether any of this sticks.

Updates over WhatsApp

No ticket portal, no login. You message us like a person, because you're on a roof, not at a desk.

Three plans. Pick where you're stuck.

Every plan includes the website, hosting and unlimited edits
Plan 01

Get Found

For the business nobody can find. Fix the foundation first.

  • Website, hosting, unlimited edits
  • Local SEO & town pages
  • Google Business Profile
  • AI search presence
  • Calls & enquiries reporting
  • Review engine
  • Missed-call text-back
  • Quote follow-up
  • AI voice receptionist
Most take this

Get Called

Found is only half of it. This is the one that stops jobs leaking.

  • Everything in Get Found
  • Review engine
  • Missed-call text-back
  • Speed-to-lead replies
  • Quote follow-up sequences
  • QR van sticker at signing
  • AI voice receptionist
  • Content, 2 posts a month
Plan 03

Get Booked

Nothing goes unanswered. The phone is covered whether you are or not.

  • Everything in Get Called
  • AI voice receptionist, 24/7
  • Call recordings & transcripts
  • Content, 2 posts a month
  • Priority turnaround
  • Quarterly strategy call

Plans are presets, not cages. Every part of the system has its own published price, so you can add or drop a piece without renegotiating the whole thing — the plans just bundle them at a discount. Add anything at any time; remove anything with 30 days' notice. We'll send you the full list on the call.

What you'd get elsewhere.

An honest look at the two alternatives
Cheap website shop SEO agency Volt Works
Website included Yes No — quoted separately, on top Yes, always
Gets you found on Google No Yes Yes
Catches the calls you miss No No Yes
Chases your quotes No No Yes
Typical tie-in 12–24 months 6–12 months 30 days' notice

Who's to blame when it fails — The web guy Us. There's nobody else.

Roughly: an SEO agency's capability, at an SEO agency's price bracket, with the website thrown in and the phone actually covered. If all you want is a cheap page to point people at, a budget website shop will do that fine, and we'll tell you so.

Six things to demand from anyone.

Including us — this is the list we're happy to be held to
01

Your domain, your name, day one

Registered to you, not to us. Domain hostage-taking is the single most litigated complaint in this industry and there is no honest reason to do it any other way.

02

The price you start on is the price you stay on

In writing. No introductory rate that quietly climbs sixty percent in year two once you're settled in and can't be bothered to move.

03

No long tie-in

Rolling monthly, 30 days' notice. Cancellation is one email address, honoured the same day, confirmed in writing. The cheapest headline prices in this market always carry the longest locks.

04

A written exit package

If you leave, within 10 working days you get the lot: files, content, images, database, and access to DNS, analytics and your Google profile. Not "we'll see what we can do."

05

We will never hold your site hostage

You paid for it, you own it. Not the hosting — the thing. A site you can't take with you was never really yours.

06

No surprises on the invoice

VAT stated up front, one-offs quoted before we start, and nothing added mid-project. Surprise line items are the fastest way to lose a client and we'd rather keep you.

We didn't invent this list. Every item on it is something businesses in your trade routinely get done to them — which is exactly why it's worth asking the next person who pitches you.

What we'll actually guarantee.

And the one thing we won't

How it works

Three steps, about two weeks

Questions

Can't see yours? Email [email protected]
Do I own my website and my domain?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name on day one, and the site, content, photos and customer list are yours. If you ever leave, you get a written exit package within 10 working days: files, content, images, database, and access to DNS, analytics and your Google Business Profile.

Is there a long contract?

No long tie-in. Rolling monthly with 30 days' notice. Cancelling is one email to one address, honoured the same day and confirmed in writing. There's a one-off build fee at the start — that's what stops us being a free design service for tyre-kickers, and it's the only money you're ever asked for up front.

Will the price go up after the first year?

No, and it's in writing. The price you start on is the price you stay on. Plenty of firms in this market run an intro rate that jumps by half or more in year two. We don't.

Can you guarantee I'll rank number one?

No, and be careful with anyone who does — Google now tells businesses to report firms that promise it. What we'll guarantee is the launch date, uptime, turnaround on edits, and that every checkable thing is actually done. You can verify most of it yourself in an afternoon, and we'll show you how.

How long until I see anything?

The site and the call-catching are live within 14 days, and those two start working immediately — a missed call gets answered the day we switch it on. Search rankings are slower and anyone telling you otherwise is guessing; expect movement over months, not days.

What if I already have a website?

We rebuild it as part of the system. We won't do marketing on a site we don't control, because when something breaks that's exactly where the finger-pointing starts. If your current site is genuinely doing its job, we'll say so and tell you to keep it.

Do I have to change my booking system or my number?

No. We work with Square, Vagaro, Mindbody and Google Calendar, or you can use ours. You keep your existing number — we sit alongside it and catch what you'd otherwise miss.

What does the AI receptionist actually say?

Whatever you approve. We write a script for your trade, you read it and change what you don't like, and nothing goes near a customer until you've signed it off. It handles hours, pricing, directions, availability and job details, and hands straight to you the moment something needs a person. Every call is recorded and transcribed so you can correct it.

Can I take bits out, or add one thing later?

Yes. Every part has its own price, so you can add anything at any time and drop anything with 30 days' notice. The only fixed rule is that the website is the base — we don't run the rest of it on a site we don't control.

Where do you work?

The UK and Canada. Phone, text and booking all work in both.

A single job usually covers the year.

Fifteen minutes on the phone. We'll look at what you've got now, tell you honestly whether you need us, and show you what your version would look like.
